Speakup is looking for someone to help to run our Employment is For Everyone project and website. 

 

Employment is for everyone is a project that four organisations have created in Rotherham (Speakup, Dexx, Art Works, EDLounge) supported by RMBC, Community Catalysts and the South Yorkshire Integrated Care System.

 

This project aims to create a social movement and opportunities across South Yorkshire (Sheffield, Doncaster, Rotherham and Barnsley) that promotes the benefits of employing people with learning disabilities and autistic people. 

 

We have created a series of films and a website to support this project but now need someone to take this project forward for us. 

 

The role would include:

 

  • Attending meetings to promote the project and site, linking with partner organisations (NHS, Local Authority, CCG and Community Organisations).

 

  • Developing a communication plan working alongside ICS communication teams (Sheffield, Doncaster, Rotherham and Barnsley)

 

  • Identifying the barriers and opportunities to employment opportunities for people with learning disabilities and autism and feeding this information into relevant forums to influence workstreams.

 

  • Keep the website up to date and add in new content.

 

  • Responding to any ongoing need of the Employment is for Everyone Project. 

 

 

The ideal candidate will have experience in:

 

  • Working with public and private sector organisations (essential)

  • Knowledge of learning disability or autism (essential)

  • Skills in project management and reporting

  • Good IT Skills

  • Skills in updating websites (training will be provided)

 

 

Duration of the role: The role will last for six months - 14 hours a week 

 

We can pay: £17.60 per hour (You would be responsible for your own tax)
