The Safety First Conference - 18th September 2001

The Safety First Conference was organised by Speakup about personal safety. It was held at the Unity Centre in Rotherham and over 80 people came from all over Yorkshire. The conference was sponsored by the Abbey National and the video that was launched at the conference was paid for by Rotherham Social Services. Speakup made the video of the day.

There were lots of workshops run by the Police, Ambulance, Fire service and lots of other people. People learnt lots of important things about being safe in the home and when your out and about. We made a video about it and are also working on a new video about safety and being StreetWise.
