MAKING PARTNERSHIP BOARDS BETTER

PARTNERSHIP BOARDS

What are Partnership Boards?

Partnership boards are meetings where people talk about services in your area. People from Social Services, Health and Advocacy go to the meetings and talk about making things better for everyone. They might talk about getting more support for carers and parents or how to help people to get a job. The meetings are very important and should be friendly, have no jargon in them and listen to the people who use the services.

So what is Speakup doing?

Speakup is working with Deborah Moore, she is responsible for making sure the partnership boards work well in Yorkshire and Humberside. We are working together and we are holding meetings in York for people who sit on Partnership boards to come to. People learn how to make them better, this means making them more friendly, using less jargon and including everyone in the meetings.
