This is a project to improve the skills of Best Value organisations and their partners in communicating with people who have learning disabilities.
To improve the life chances of more people with a learning disability, particularly those who are misunderstood and socially excluded because organisations often don't communicate well.
To raise
awareness of the communications needs of people with a learning disability and help organisations to meet or exceed the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act, to act on their Equality Impact Assessments
and to improve their customer focus.
